The cost of a disability can be staggering, which is why you need to protect yourself with solid coverage. With ACAIT's program, you can receive monthly benefits from $200 up to $5,000* ($3,000 if age 50 or over). ACAIT's plan also leaves you in charge of your waiting period, and how long you want your benefits paid. You can have a waiting period of 30**, 60, 90 or 180 days, and a payment period of either 5 years or to age 65. Your coverage also contains special benefits exclusively for American Counseling Association members. If you're disabled for six consecutive months, your premiums will be waived for as long as the total disability benefit is payable. Your plan also contains rehabilitation benefits and a survivor income benefit.
